Committees

Committees power union’s work, with Executive Council overseeing all appointments

Ad-hoc and special committees are created as needed by a majority vote of the Executive Council. Duties and scope of service are outlined when these committees are formed.

Committee members must be union members in good standing for a period of four months prior to the date of their appointments and must remain in good standing for the entire time they serve.

“Trade-unions have done more for humanity than any other organization of men that ever existed. They have done more for decency, for honesty, for education, for the betterment of the race, for the developing of character in man, than any other association of men.”

- Clarence Darrow, 1909
